As we move into the darker seasons of the year let's take this opportunity for brief respite and reflection before Country Christmas starts hitting the honky tonk floors.
This year has been such an incredible high for us, we have played such amazing venues and festivals that we only dreamed of a few years ago.
We have some really special events coming up that we don't want you to miss and we're so excited for the coming months into the New Year!
Where have we been!?
Stoke on Trent - We were treated to a Chicks spa day, a lovely meal and stay over, we saw the first glimpse of our brand new Merch. Though sadly we lost Cowie Udderwood, who was taken by some miscreants mid-performance, bundled into a taxi and taken clubbing deep in Stoke with no hope of returning, we still had an absolute blast with the wonderful crowd there.

Worthing - we cannot wait to come back to you! Thank you so much, the cheering was so loud! To say a legendary gig that keeps being talked about, we would love to see you again soon.

Cotswolds you were amazing! We had such a blast, thank you so much for making us part of the event, the Atmosphere was just stunning.

Brierley Hill, what a welcoming venue. Thank you to the team for making us feel so at ease, supplying us with treats, tea and coffee. We'd like to give a huge shout out to Suzie Law who came down, cheered us on and left the evening sporting a brand new T-Shirt! Suzie is a Country singer in her own right, a wonderful songwriter who has just released her Country single Dead or You're Mine, available on Spotify.
So, what were some of the Country Chicks highlights this year?

Sarah - We have played such a wide variety of shows this year, from 4 people in a back garden to 4000 in a festival field! My highlight has been working with the Country Chicks girls themselves; we have supported each other through busy times and juggles of everyday life and kept everything going like clockwork so we can bring our energy and best performance to every show! I've been the Chick behind the videos and photos and have often joked that I have more photos on my phone of the girls than I do of my own family. But they are also like family to me, and I have loved being able to travel with them and bring music across the UK this year.

Nia - My highlight of the year...If I could bottle being on a stage in Hunstanton, with a beautiful group of women (okay, okay and Charlie too) looking out at a crowd of happy Country fans, singing and dancing to our music against a sea of golden sun-kissed fields...then I totally would. I cannot wait to go back.

Suzanne - One of the absolute highlights of my year was our band kicking off Fi.Fest 2025! 🎉 What an incredible honour to open such a fantastic festival that’s so loved by locals and visitors alike. Seeing people of all ages singing, dancing, and having the best time to our music was pure magic — and being the first-ever country act to hit the Fi.Fest stage made it even more special! 🤠✨ Already counting down the days until next summer and the start of festival season all over again! 🎶☀️

Kirsty - I had so many memorable moments this year, but I remember being told we were playing at Sub89, it was such a mini dream come true for me, I'd seen some of my favourite bands and DJs there in the past, including a very intimate Hayseed Dixie gig. It was that moment that I knew we were headed for some really great opportunities and I was just so proud of us, so happy for our band and all the support we have had.
Looking forward, what is coming up for us?
Did anyone catch the amazing Grand Ole Opry: 100 Years of Country Music? What a fantastic showcase, we were captivated by the raw emotion of Ashley McBride's performance, in awe of Marty Stuart's mandolin chops, mesmirised by Mumford and Sons and rocked out to Luke Combs.
The BBC covered this beautiful event at The Royal Albert Hall, the programme is still available to catch up.
If you'd like to know more and listen to our thoughts on the Grand Ole Opry, Country Chicks UK have been invited to share our views on the BBC Points of View programme. The episode will be broadcast 12th October, please check BBC listings and their website so you don't miss a beat!
We're looking forward to playing some of our favourite local venues as we are welcomed back home from a long summer of non-stop gigs away across the UK. Check out our gigs page to see when we're coming to a town near you.
